University of Warsaw celebrates Communist Politburo member

Comment on the article in a British daily the Telegraph by the Polish Ambassador in the UK. Polish authorities pretend to oppose Russia and to be friends with western democracies in general and the UK in particular. However, this is not true. Poland is ruled by the same Communist class as before 1990.

My wife and I were removed from our state jobs in the Autumn of 2015. My parents, Polish citizens, were prisoners of Communist concentration camps in northern Russia after WWII. On November 7, 2016, the anniversary of the Communist October Revolution, the University of Warsaw held a special honorary session to celebrate the renewal of the doctorate of the Communist Politburo member Janusz Reykowski.

The superficially anti-Russian stance of the Polish authorities is fake. The same Communist ruling class controls Poland, Russia, Ukraine. Polish Communists and their families sit in international bodies, including NATO.

In 2020, Oxford University Press published a book by the Polish Communist Politburo member Janusz Reykowski, entitled ” Disenchantment with Democracy”. At some point, Reykowski led social studies at the Military Political Academy in Warsaw named after Feliks Dzerzhinsky. In 2016, he was honored by the University of Warsaw with a special session devoted to the renewal of his doctorate. At about the same time my wife and I were removed from our jobs at the State School of Music in Zielona Gora and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, respectively. My parents were prisoners in Communist concentration camps.
